Liam Wright…...Guitar, Dobro and Bass Fiddle. Liam sings lead & harmony vocals in the band and was a pioneer of bluegrass music in the Athy area back in the mid 80's when he played with a band called "Woodworm". He has a keen interest in traditional Irish music also and play's tenor banjo at local sessions.
Nicola O Brien…...Double Bass and sings lead & harmony vocals. Nicola was a member of a folk choir in her early teens and also played in many musicals. Nicola had been singing at informal bluegrass sessions for many years before joining "Woodbine" in Jan 2003 when there was a band reshuffle. Her lead singing is now a feature of the band.
Tony O Brien…..Play's rhythm guitar and sings lead & harmony vocals. Tony has been playing & singing country music since his teens. He was part of a duo and sometimes trio with Liam for 15 years (1970-1985) Tony played with "The Clem O Brien Band" for three years (1998-2000) before he formed "Woodbine" in late 2001
Richard Hawkins...5 String Banjo, Richard has been involved in the Irish bluegrass scene for many years, as banjo player in many bands including "The Niall Toner Band" and as the editor of The Irish Bluegrass Newsletter which has now become "bluegrassirelandblog" on the net. A fine banjo player that knows the meaning of band member.
